TOURIST CENTRES

Local artist and architect, Cesar Manrique, captured the essence of Lanzarote in the tourist centres (CACT – Art, Tourism and Culture Centres of Lanzarote).

He adapted the island’s natural landmarks blending art and nature with minimal intervention for us all to see and enjoy.

Visit the incredible lunar landscape of Timanfaya National Park, or the mysterious underground lava tunnels of Cueva de los Verdes and magical Jameos del Agua.

See over 4500 different cacti at the Cactus Garden or enjoy a romantic dinner at Castillo de San José. Watch the sunset with panoramic ocean views at Mirador del Rio, an experience you’ll never forget.

FOOD, WINE AND LEISURE

Discover Lanzarote’s wine-making history in the beautiful region of La Geria: a patchwork of black lava, green vines and iconic volcanoes. Learn about Lanzarote’s intriguing history and, of course, do a little tasting in the process.

Taste the authentic local gastronomy, combining the traditional flavours of the sea and the land. You can also choose from an extensive range of international cuisine.

Visit some of the island’s quaint villages: the ancient capital of Teguise with its cobbled streets, or the traditional fishing villages dotted along the coast. Take home local produce and crafts from one of the many markets.
And there’s plenty for the kids too: waterparks, theme parks, climbing and skate parks, natural sandy beaches, submarine trips, etc.
